Tutorials - Omega Sync, SQL database comparison and synchronization

Tutorials

We have prepared some quick and easy tutorials to help you distinguish between the advanced usage modes of Data Sync. We will write more tutorials with time, and you can write to our support to request the tutorials you miss the most.

Comparison mode

Comparison only, no database synchronization allowed When you wish to inspect the differences between databases, but don't need to synchronize them, you can use the Comparison mode. No changes will be written to any database, but you can review differences in-depth.

One-Way Synchronization

Synchronization in one direction When you need to synchronize one or more databases to the reference database - and you want to be sure reference database isn't modified by our tool, use One-Way Synchronization mode. You can review each and every sync action and disable certain tables, or certain records, or even only certain data values from synchronization.

Two-Way Synchronization

Synchronization in two directions The most powerful sync mode of all. You have complete control over the data synchronization process. By default, we create synchronization actions such that reference database is untouched and work database is modified to match reference.
However, here you can also change the synchronization direction from work to reference, so that changes you made in work database are applied to the reference database.

That's all for this basic tutorial. Full Convert is very powerful - it's very easy to use, but offers much more than presented here.
